We have an opening for a TARS Biller specializing in Hospital Medi-Cal billing for our Sherman Oaks location.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for in-patient and out-patient Medi-Cal billing

Prepare TAR and billing sent to the office for different hospitals

Follow up on a high volume of Medi-Cal claims

Resolve accounts within assigned responsibility according to established procedures and time frames.

Handle incoming correspondence and returned mail on a timely basis

Initiate outgoing account Tracers, CIF and Appeals

Make telephone contacts in a timely, professional, non-combative manner. Respond to incoming phone calls the same day received

Qualifications:

Knowledge of TAR authorizations completion a MUST

Previous hospital billing experience (not physician office experience)

2 years experience in Medi-Cal hospital in/out-patient billing required

Knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Ability to multitask and prioritize work

Medical terminology
