Description:The Database Developer/Administrator will represent Berico Technologies as a consultant. You will be a member of a team comprised of Analysts and Software Developers working to design, build, integrate and tune an Oracle Database that will maximize the effectiveness of intelligence products. You would serve as a data warehouse developer and administrator on a large-scale database management system with the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). You must have experience with object oriented programming and database technologies. You should be driven to expand his or her skills to implement the latest techniques in data management, as well as be creative and inventive enough to implement new techniques for greater efficiency and performance. As part of the Integrated Product Team, Berico will assist the Futures Directorate Headquarters (INSCOM) in managing and coordinating a cohesive effort to focus technology development and insertion into their worldwide Intelligence mission. The Futures Directorate’s mission is to develop and integrate forward-looking technology to enhance an ever-evolving architecture of hardware, software, and advanced intelligence tactics, techniques and procedures. Essentials Functions: •Build scalable enterprise database solutions for client within the Department of Defense. •Provide technical support for ongoing initiatives. •Work with various database technologies such as native XML Databases, Oracle 10g, Oracle RAC, and SQL Server 2000/2005/2008.•Recommend and design technical improvements to maximize productivity through data exploitation and management. •Drive projects from conceptualization through to successful deployment in an operational environment. •Leverage software development expertise to bolster capabilities and performance of ongoing initiatives. Minimum Qualifications:•Must possess a current Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.•Must hold a B.S. degree in technical or mathematical field of study.•5 years experience overall working with database and software technologies.•Experience with Relational Database Management Systems, preferably Oracle 10g or newer.•Experience with xQuery and PL/SQL.•Excellent oral and written communications skills.•Solars 10x or Linux 4.0 on Unix•System management experience on Oracle 10g•RAC- clustering•Oracle with label security•Oracle account managerBonus Skills:•Experience building and integrating efficient and stable relational database solutions.Experience with the following would be a plus:•Java stored procedures•XML, both natively and as related to RDBMS XML Support•Mark Logic XML Content Server
