1998 Chaparral Signature 240. Boat is 24' long. Great family boat. Have CA title in hand for the boat and the trailer.

Features of the boat:

New Vortec 350 Mercruiser Motor has less than 100 hours. The hour gauge shows 270, but that was from the old motor and the new...even at 270 it would be a very new. New motor was installed in Feb 2008 (have receipt). Starts every time and runs perfect.
Brand new batteries from West Marine, less than 6 mos. old
Inside cabin is in perfect shape and all appliances work perfect: fridge/freezer, sink, gas/elec. stove, all lights work, head with shower and toilet.

Condition: The boat is in good overall condition. I waxed her last month, with compound, then a double coat of wax. There are a few stress cracks in the fiberglass here and there.
All glass in in good condition. The console and instrument panel are a bit weathered (console is a bit chalky, the instrument panel backing is faded, gauges are all clear and in good working order with the exception of the trim gauge (trim works flawlessly), steering wheel is made of wood and is cracking. The exterior seating has three minor tears in the rear seat, none bigger than 1 inch. The exterior seats themselves show sun fading, or in other words have some brown spots. If I were to keep the boat, I would have them recovered, but they are perfectly functional as-is. Interior is nearly perfect, can't think of any issues there.

Trailer: This auction includes the trailer in the picture. 1998 Zeman dual axle w/ guiding posts (these posts make this boat super eazy to launch and retrieve - I have single handed this boat numerous times). Surge brakes are probably in need of service and the rear tires should be replaced soon (they hold air and work fine, but I feel that the back tires on each side could stand to be refreshed). Wheels have bearing buddies. Trailer has a full size spare. Lights all work. CA PTI license.

History: I bought the boat earlier this year, and have enjoyed it immensely!!! I am only selling because we are buying a house, and need the cash. This boat has had absolutely ZERO problems in the 15 or so times we have taken it out. I mainly go out of Oceanside Harbor. I wash her down at the ramp after every use and flush the motor with Salt Away. My wife and I have stayed overnight in Oceanside numerous times, stayed 3 nights in Catalina, and 3 nights at Shelter Island (they have awesome transient docks!!). The boat is very comfortable for short overnight trips!!
