I have to sell my beloved bumblebee airhead GS. Its a 1988 R100GS, in great shape, low miles (less than 10,000). Just replaced the hand guards, seat lock, plugs, new Dyna coil, plug wires, and cat. Starts, shifts, stops just as it should. Airhead GS's are A BLAST to own, easy to work on, a blast to ride, and they have plenty of character. I am the second owner that I know of. Bike has been/is still stored and maintained at Motoworks Chicago, where I am a former employee. It has been in the company of some of the best BMW techs around. Has normal wear cosmetically, its not a trailer queen. Seat is fading just a bit and has a couple small rips, no dents in the tank, front fender has some paint chipped off, but is black plastic anyway (hard to even notice). Valve covers and engine guards are scraped. Some chrome has minor pitting, not bad. Front wheel has a tube due to a small dent in the rim - this is not a handling issue, it has had a tube for at least a year with no problem whatsoever. Come see it in person. This bike wants to be ridden! Comes with the original manual and a clear title. This is a truly collectible bike, its sad to see it go!
