1964 CHRIS-CRAFT SS CLASSIC WOOD BOAT 18’ Exceptionally high quality classic collector Chris-Craft wood boat. There are only five like it listed in the National ACBS directory. Two of the five boats have been located and seen, and require a full restoration. Designed by Chris-Craft as a Hot Rod Ski Boat (advertised as 44mph). Shows beautifully or simply add to your collection. Reflects the hot 1963 1964 Chevy Super Sport models of that day. 327 Chevy 210 HP with straight through dual exhaust motor with a unique sound. Shows 309.5 hours on the motor. Custom-built, heavy-duty, tandem axle trailer with powder coated, black, mag wheels. Formerly owned by an ACBS (Antique & Classic Boat Society) judge. This was his personal boat, originally from Michigan. Includes photos and complete documentation of the history of this boat. Professionally restored by Don Danenberg, one of the nation’s premier restorers, and the author of the book, “How to Restore Your Wooden Runabout”. Includes an autographed copy of Don’s book showing notes made by Don where he mentions and includes actual photos of this boat in the book. Includes the original Chris-Craft factory brochure. Includes full boat cover. Updated with multiple coats of marine varnish, paint, and bottom paint in winter, 2009. Only used in fresh water. Near perfect as is, however if you want a 100% perfect boat, the upholstery could be re-done. Re-upholstery was intended and a material match was found; will include the source. Stored in a heated, air-conditioned, and humidity-controlled garage. Great investment, would increase in value, and would provide a good return on investment.
