This pony is a parent's dream ... kid safe in EVERY way! This pony is one-in-a-million!!
Sierra is an extremely quiet, gentle, kind and safe mare. Only 4 years old but has proven herself to be "kid-safe". She is not pushy at all. A loving and sweet temperament, a great work ethic, a willing and pleasing "can do" attitude. Initially western trained. Very sensitive to aids but not highly strung, spooky or silly. Will respond to the lightest of aids from a small child. Sierra is a barn favorite! I cannot say enough great things about this adorable, gentle and sweet young mare. It is rare to find such a "babysitter" temperament in such a young horse.
Sierra is very docile, and definitely submissive in the pasture! She will get bullied - we are currently pasturing this sweetheart with a 6 month old foal (not hers!).
Sierra is a good soul who has shown no sign of bucking, rearing, bolting or spooking. Highly sensitive to western aids at this time. A light rein against her neck and she will sharply turn into the direction she is being steered. If you pick up the reins and pull back, she will rein back. We will be posting a video of her walk/trot and canter under saddle and we will also see how she goes over a small cavaletti. Right now, Sierra is being ridden by a novice, lightweight child.

Video # 3: A full introduction to Sierra. It shows her in cross-ties, being groomed, wrapped, tacked up and fly sprayed. It additionally shows her walking over tarp, loading in a trailer, standing quietly for mounting and some additional work with an adult rider under saddle.
Sierra just adores being pampered .. she is ALL girl (down to her pink halter with gold embroidered dancing horses). Bath-time, grooming, farrier, vet .. it all equates to attention and loving time for her. So wonderfully gentle with kids, this is one pony I can trust wholeheartedly being handled by children. Nothing seems to have bothered or upset Sierra yet (from dogs, cars, tractors, chainsaw noise etc). She has no vices that I have noticed (stall walking, cribbing, weaving, biting, kicking etc). Sierra is a daintly little mare ... she has a fine bone, and pink skin which will be prone to sunburn. She is very easy to catch, just call her name and she eagerly comes over to say hello. She is a true pleasure to have around as she is just so easy in every way.
She stands like a statue for mounting. She loads in a trailer without hesitation. Sierra will truly be some lucky child's dream horse .. and with a lifetime ahead of her to give many, many years of happiness and accomplishments. We will be training her in dressage once she is up to weight. Once she begins showing, her price will increase accordingly. Siera is a most precious little pony that is versatile and young enough to do whatever you wish in the future: 4-H, Pony Club, Hunter, Jumper, Dressage, Western, Trail.
