These are proof replica stamps on a gleaming surface of 22 Karat Gold.
The gold stamp is mounted on a velvet background card, inserted into the envelope and sealed. On the reverse side of the envelope is a card describing the stamp’s subject in detail. Also, on the envelope is an enlarged reproduction of the original stamp.
This is the "Golden Replicas U. S. Classic Stamps Album" by The Postal Commemorative Society. A total of 100 gold plated stamps are featured, the album is in mint condition.
