1987 Volkswagen Quantum Details

1987 VW Quantum Syncro Wagon 200,000 Plus miles. Body is in great shape. Interior as well, no cracks in dash or tears in the seats. Comes with some extra parts. Engine does burn about a quart of oil every 800-XXXX miles. Car does come with extra engine/trans/rear diff and drive shaft. Car has been sitting for awhile. Has new pads and rotors still in the box for front and rear. Speeds quit working about a month before it was parked, but car runs and drives just fine. K + N filter. Recent tune up includes: plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Drivers window regulator is bad. Comes with new bumper covers front and rear. New R side fender/rear window glass and seal, new windshield seal also have all the cross bars for the roof rack. Lots of misc. odds and ends. Aluminum wheels are pitted but tires are in great shape. EXTREMELY RARE VOLKSWAGEN QUANTUM SYNCHRO 5 CYL ALL WHEEL DRIVE WAGON FOR SALE 250,000K and still going strong. I just had it serviced and inspected by a certified Volkswagen mechanic (John's Automotive) and they were impressed with how clean this engine is. The Pros: Bulletproof Engine that's clean and extremely powerful. This car has a lot of get-up-and- go and I've loved it for years. It starts up every time, no matter how cold. This car has been serviced regularly (oil changed every 3000 miles) and it handles exceptionally well on the road. I've been using it as a commuter car and it handles great on snowy and icy roads and has been great on road trips. The seats are all very comfortable and in good shape. There is wear-and-tear on the interior that you would expect for a car of this age but it's still in pretty good shape. The Cons: windshield is cracked. Parts for this car are hard to find. The wipers only operate on high speed (needs new switch) and the one on the passenger side is missing a spring. See more used 1987 Volkswagen Quantum Cars

1986 VW Quantum Syncro AWD Wagon 148,000 miles. Full time all wheel drive with locking center and rear diff. This car is a tank. I never got stuck in the snow, even off road. I get anywhere from 18-25mpg with my average of 22mpg on regular gas. Silver exterior with blueish cloth interior, sunroof, oem cargo cover, two sets of roof racks, oem class 1 trailer hitch and wiring. Power mirrors, windows and locks. I love this car. I looked for one for a long time and really hate to get rid of it. We are moving up to a volvo v70 awd for more cargo space and I just don't need to have this many cars. Over the last two years it has gotten new tires, battery, tune up (air filter, cap, rotor, plugs), timing belt, water pump, radiator and hoses, front ball joints and outer tie rods, front right wheel bearing, front and rear shocks, outer sunroof seal, wipers and I'm sure the list goes on but I can't think of more right now.
