- We have a 1986 VW Wolfsburg Edition GTI for sale Our neighbor couldn't take with him when he moved out of state so he sold it to us. My husband was supposed to fix it but of course he hasn't gotten around to it yet (a year later) It's a really cool little car and I hate to just have it sitting out there with nobody using it so I think it's time to find it a new home. ***** The Odometer reads 163626 miles The VIN check I ran listed this: VIN 1VWDB0172GV025337 Year/Make/Model: 1986 VOLKSWAGEN GTI Body Style: HATCHBACK 2 DR Engine Type: 1.8L L4 FI Manufactured In: UNITED STATES It's not currently running so it will most likely need to be towed. - Our neighbor told us when he sold it to us that it just needed a new battery - It also will need new tires (They are really flat from sitting so long) - The fuel tank will most likely need to be drained before it will run NADA lists low retail as $1600 since we don't know much about the car from personal experience We are asking $800 for it as is.
