Responsibilities
As an Operations Specialist at NBC Universal, you will join an innovative new on-air service that will deliver live 24/7 news and entertainment programming to portable devices being developed by all the major wireless carriers. Leveraging the broadcast infrastructure of NBC Universal, you will command the integration of multiple feeds from around the country into uniquely programmed new media services with a huge potential subscriber base.
Your responsibilities include (and are not limited to):
Monitoring air signal and maintaining continuity for multiple streams using in house automation systems
Coordinating and executing commercial schedule manipulation working with multiple live remote and local control rooms
Coordination and Ingest of content needed for air
Monitoring the air signal of multiple streams for quality and continuity
Operating X and Y automation streams to maintain air using the GEnesis system
Operating router for break in situations
Coordinating content availability for play out
The Operation of Crispin automation to execute commercial insertion
Working with live control rooms to coordinate commercial insertion and manipulation during live news, sports, and special events
Locating and ingesting to server media required for play out through the GEnesis automation system
Coordinating with NBC Network Broadcast Operations Control for timing and feed information to be used for secondary feeds in multiple 24/7 news and entertainment services

Basic Qualifications :
Minimum (3) years of experience in an On-Air broadcast or streaming media environment
Eligibility Requirements:
Must be willing to joing NABET

Minimum (3) years of experience in related field
Overall understanding and knowledge of the television production and distribution process (master control experience preferred)
Experience in a "live" broadcast environment
Technical experience with automated, real-time systems, digital video and audio troubleshooting techniques
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task
