2007 Toyota Land Cruiser Review

The Land Cruiser remains Toyota's premier utility vehicle for 2007, and packs enough goodies inside the cabin to be in the running as the nameplate's most luxurious model. It is powered by a 4.7L DOHC 32-valve V8 with variable valve timing that makes 265 horsepower and 310 ft-lb of torque. A five-speed automatic is the only transmission available.

Body-on-frame construction, skid plates, and a full-time four-wheel-drive system with a locking center differential ensure the Land Cruiser is a capable rock-crawler in addition to being a comfortable cruiser. Available height control enhances the Land Cruisers on-trail prowess.

Toyota didn't skimp on the safety equipment, making stability control, traction control, ABS, and a tire pressure monitor system standard. Optional front seat-mounted and front and second row side curtain air bags are available.

Standard equipment includes a moonroof, auto-dimming rearview mirror, HomeLink, cruise control, a JBL AM/FM audio system with cassette player and six-disc in-dash CD changer, power leather-trimmed seats, a 50/50 split third row of seating that can fold flat into the floor, and automatic climate control. A roof rack, running boards, and a navigation system are all optional.
