2007 Infiniti M35 Review

For years the M45 was the forgotten Infiniti. The Q45 attracted the luxury sedan buyers, while the I20 and G35s were snapped up by the entry-level luxury car shoppers. The model was redesigned for 2006 when Infiniti added a six-cylinder M35 in either rear- or all-wheel drive and sport versions of both the potent M45 and the satisfying M35. The Sport trim revised the suspension, added unique wheels and an adaptive front xenon lighting system, placed climate controls in the seats, and added an enhanced steering wheel with multiple controls. The same lineup remains for 2007.

The M35 continues to use a 275-horsepower 3.5L V6 that should be ample for most drivers, while the M45 employs a 325-horsepower V8.Both engines utilize a five-speed automatic transmission with a manual mode.

The standards list is extensive, with traction control, LED taillights, a sunroof, heated power mirrors, speed-sensing windshield wipers, Bluetooth, a six-disc CD changer, and air bags all around. The interior of the M35 and M45 is a wonderful place to be. The nearly horizontal section of the center stack puts large, easy-to-use buttons in a convenient location. When ordering the Sport trim, the aluminum interior treatments add an additional note of class and brings brightness to the crisp black leather interior.

Various and sundry optional equipment are available, including Bose surround sound, intelligent cruise control, a rear camera, satellite radio, a lane departure warning system, and a DVD mobile entertainment system. The navigation system is also very good. A variety of port installed options are also available, including a $1,590 aerodynamic body kit with sportier front and rear fascias, side sills, and a revised rear deck.

Overall the M series is an excellent choice for those seeking a four-door sedan that offers both comfort and the ability to safely tackle your favorite twisty back road.
The Infiniti M sedans, fresh off a redesign, enter 2007 with a few new option packages and more standard features. A new Advanced Technology Package adds a Bose surround sound system, intelligent cruise control, a lane departure warning system, and satellite radio, while the Premium Package is no longer available on the all-wheel-drive and Sport M35. The Journey Package has been removed from the M45 and all-wheel-drive M35 sedans.
