The 2007 Buick Rendezvous continues to be a comfortable and practical family crossover vehicle, while a spacious rear seat and cargo area and an optional third row of seating allow enhance its versatility. Laminated front glass, additional foam seals, denser sound-absorbing materials, and QuietTuning make the Rendezvous one of the quietest rides in its segment.

A 3.5L V6 engine that produces 196 horsepower and 215 ft-lbs of torque is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. This drivetrain, along with the Rendezvous' front-wheel-drive configuration, allows the vehicle to achieve 19 mpg in the city and 26 on the highway.

Buick's crossover sport-utility vehicle carries over into 2007 with two important changes. All-wheel-drive is no longer offered and there is just one engine in the lineup -- a 3.5 liter V-6 rated at 196 horsepower. Last year's CX Plus and CXL Plus models have been discontinued. The Rendezvous is now available in just two trim levels -- base CX and CXL. In addition. '07 models offer the latest version of GM's OnStar communication system with "turn by turn" navigation assistance. Four-wheel-disc brakes with ABS are standard on all models and there's a newly available Driver Information Center . An optional third-row seat expands the Rendezvous' passenger-carrying abilities to seven. This model (like its ill-fated Pontiac Aztek cousin) is likely to be retired after the current model year is over.
