Grand Am
The mid-size Grand Am will continue for a time during
2005 as a value leader, its place in the
Pontiac
line largely supplanted by the new G6,
but will only exist in its coupe version. (
Pontiac
will continue to offer a Grand Am sedan
for fleet customers, however.) The only available powertrain is now a
175-horsepower 3.4-liter V-6 engine drives the front wheels via a
four-speed-automatic gearbox. Standard features include variable-assist power
steering, four-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes, a CD stereo with steering wheel
touch controls, air conditioning and aluminum wheels. XM satellite radio and an
MP3 file-capable audio system are available for the tune-conscious. An SC/T
Special Edition, with unique trim and content, is newly available on 2005 GT1
models.
