Physical Therapist iShift per diem position with flexible web-based scheduling for viewing and requesting posted shifts online 2. Must be competent in evaluating and treating medically complex adult patients in a tertiary Level I trauma center. 3. Must be available to work weekends and/or weekdays, either standard 10-hour shifts or partial shifts with a minimum of 4 hours. Qualifications Professional Bachelor's degree, Master's degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. 2. Valid license issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, APTA membership preferred. 3. Understand and practice appropriately to meet all department, division and hospital policies and procedures within a three to six month period. 4. Basic knowledge and competent performance of learned routines, procedures and practices in physical therapy as normally acquired in a professional or entry level Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral program. 5. Frequent decision making directed toward specific objectives and guided by clinical policies is often required. Formulating recommendations regarding patient discharge disposition decisions is required and generally learned through initial clinical affiliations and supervised practice. 6. Successful strong communication and interpersonal skills at a professional level to include: complex writing such as medical record documentation, physician correspondence and clinical case descriptions for publication; and, speaking and consulting with peers, patients and professionals on all levels to include teaching. These skills are generally learned through college and post-graduate education programs and participation at rounds, case conferences and formal presentations with peers as normally experienced during professional preparation and as an affiliating student or intern. 7. Ability to work collaboratively with a team, other members of the division and other department members in performing own duties and to regularly lead segments of the team's work. 8. Ability to interact effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse ethnic, social and religious backgrounds. 9. Ability to work independently, analyze situations critically, seek assistance appropriately, problem solve successfully, use sound professional and ethical judgement, maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times. 10. Seek opportunities and set goals for own professional development. Identify and learn from mentors. Seek and accept feedback and constructive criticism for performance improvement. 11. Maintain CPR certification; comply with training standards for annual Safety, HazCom, TB and Human Resources requirements.
