Today, Lake Valley Community Church is a vibrant, diverse, and growing community of faith, committed to serving God and loving their neighbors. About the Teaching Pastor: Lake Valley Community Church is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and experienced Teaching Pastor to join the team and help lead the congregation in spiritual growth and service. The ideal candidate will possess visionary leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a shepherd’s heart.The teaching pastor’s primary responsibilities will include preaching, teaching, vision, pastoral care, leadership and relationally connecting with our church body. He will partner with our current teaching pastor and together they will guide our staff team and lead the church under the direction of the elders. The Teaching Pastor's Responsibilities Include: Develop and deliver engaging, biblically-based sermons for our worship services in a rotation with our current teaching pastor.He will help to plan and lead services, in collaboration with the worship team leader, while ensuring that services are meaningful and spiritually enriching.Work with elder leadership and staff to establish and execute a vision and strategic plan for the church’s growth and leadership development.Engage and build relationships within the local community, participating in outreach and mission activities, and collaborating with other organizations to address community needs.In partnership with our current teaching pastor, mentor, supervise, and support church staff and volunteers, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment with robust leadership development.Perform other pastoral duties, including weddings, funerals, baptisms, and dedications, as required. What You Bring: The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Teaching Pastor: Education & Experience Masters in Divinity or equivalent from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Exceptional communication skillsAbility to connect with a diverse congregation and adapt to various ministry contextsStrong leadership skillsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, organize events, and work effectively under pressure Personal Characteristics & Qualifications A deep commitment to Jesus Christ and a heart to reach the world for Christ Passion for empowering others and fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environmentDeep understanding of and commitment to the Bible and its practical application to everyday lifeA heart for pastoral care and the ability to provide compassionate and empathetic support to congregation members in times of need What it's Like to Live in Hot Springs, AR: Hot Springs, AR is rich with history and teeming with adventure.
