Acenda's expert team helps each individual, family and community move forward in their journey towards health and happiness.Program Overview: Psychiatric Emergency Screening Services is a 24/7 crisis intervention service that offers face-to-face crisis and emergency intervention to individuals who are suicidal, homicidal, or acutely psychotic.Position Summary: * The Psychiatric Emergency Screener (PES) conducts mental health evaluations and assessments to determine the need for hospitalization, either voluntary or involuntary. * Works collaboratively with all staff to effectively communicate and problem solve. * Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently. * Must regularly be able to see, speak and hear. Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, bend, use hands and arms and must occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in the mental-health-related field from an accredited institution, plus three years post-bachelors, full-time equivalent, professional experience in the mental health field, one of which is in a crisis setting; * Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving recordPreferred: * Master's degree in the mental-health-related field from an accredited institution, plus one year of postmaster's, full-time equivalent, professional experience in a psychiatric setting;We Provide: * $500 Sign-on Bonus * An Innovative culture that encourages you to grow and learn with the agency * Mission-driven core * Health, Vision and Dental coverage for you and your family * 401(k) with up to a 5% employer match * Generous time-off * Flexible Spending Accounts * Year-end performance bonusesDepartment/ProgramCC10047 Psych.
