Quality SupervisorThe Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for conducting verification and maintenance of the food safety and quality systems, supervising quality plant personnel, supporting / leading relevant regulatory food safety focused audits, and more.Basic Functions:Conduct verification and maintenance of the food safety and quality systems, hazard analysis and sanitation processes, prerequisite programs, manufacturing processes, plant environment and finished productCollaborates with operations on the initiation of corrective action and preventative measures when necessarySupervise Quality plant personnel across multiple shiftsEnsure adherence to corporate, regulatory, customer and facility food safety and quality requirements and completion of corrections and corrective actionsSupport / lead relevant regulatory food safety focused auditsAct as a food safety team leader within the plant, assist the food safety team by supporting the food safety management systemAssist in the management of the food safety management system compliance to appropriate government regulationsInvestigate and follow up on food safety incidents that occur in the plant to ensure they are properly reported and ensure corrective action and permanent corrections are takenIndependently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staffReport Monthly/Weekly Quality metrics to staff and ManagementManage and report on the help product inventoryCoordinate and train employees in Quality-related processes, procedures, and refresher trainingSupervise Quality employees at other facilities, ensuring employees are properly supervised, trained, encouraged and productiveManage Quality employee time off requests, scheduling, disciplinary action, performance review, and employee engagement in coordination with Quality Management and HRAssistance to the QA Director / Manager regarding any special needs that may ariseOther duties as assigned by Manager which may not be reoccurringTechnical Qualifications:Bachelor s Degree in Food Science or a related fieldKnowledge of food safety industry practices and standardsStrong computer skills and Microsoft Office experienceExperience GFSI auditingExperience working with ERP systemsPCQI and HACCP Certification a plusASQ Certification a plusLean Six Sigma experience a plusBilingual Spanish / English preferred**If you d like to hear more about this opportunity and others we are currently working on, please contact Jeff Fee at jfee cps4jobs.com.JO: 147.24JF#LI-JF1
