Description:
No weekends SeClienthing for a physician who is board-eligible or board-certified in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine and who is experienced in primary care to provide on-site services to the male population at this facility. Full-time services will also include spending 12 day/week at the male institution across the street (Ross Correctional Institution). Schedule is weekdays - no evenings, weekends, or holidays. Preferred schedule is five 8-hour days/week. Selected physician will see approximately 2.5 patients/hour. Assignment may last at least 6 months and eventually lead to permanent hire if there is mutual good fit. Both a phone interview and an on-site meeting/tour at Chillicothe Correctional Institution will be required prior to offer decision. Physician Duties Working collaboratively with intra and interCliental staff to administer treatment for patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing Managing medication Completing reclassifications and other reviews as indicated Making referrals for specialized care or treatment Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
