Practice Area: Litigation - General (consumer), Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 5 Years, A law firm in McAllen, TX, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 5+ years of relevant experience in defense litigation. The ideal candidate will have experience in transportation, catastrophic injury, commercial disputes, construction, medical malpractice, and/or healthcare matters. Duties:Work closely with lead attorneys on all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, depositions, and trial presentationConduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documentsCollaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and experts to develop case strategiesProvide timely and accurate case evaluations and reporting to clientsUtilize strategic thinking to meet client objectives and achieve favorable outcomesMaintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactionsParticipate in firm initiatives and professional development activities Requirements:Admission to the Texas State Bar5+ years of relevant experience in defense litigationExperience in transportation, catastrophic injury, commercial disputes, construction, medical malpractice, and/or healthcare mattersExcellent research and writing skillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environmentMotivated and proactive with a strong work ethic Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Certifications:Admission to the Texas State Bar Skills:Legal research and writingLitigation and trial preparationStrategic thinking and problem-solvingClient communication and relationship managementTime management and organization Benefits:Competitive salary package, including potential bonusesComprehensive insurance coverage (medical, dental, vision, disability, life)401(k) retirement planUnlimited paid time offFlexible work-from-home policyProfessional development assistanceReferral program opportunities
