Summary As a Platform Engineer at XOi, you play an important role in our mission to enhance development, deployment, and operational workflows. Collaborating closely with development and operations teams, you will assist in the design, implementation, and management of our cloud-based infrastructure, delivery pipelines, development tooling and deployment methodologies. Your primary objective revolves around elevating the developer experience through the provisioning of cutting-edge tools, refined practices, and robust platforms, fostering accelerated and streamlined development and deployment cycles. Responsibilities Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate provisioning and configuration management. CI/CD Pipeline : Build and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software releases and deployments, improving developer productivity. Containerization and Orchestration : Manage containerization platforms (e.g., Docker) and orchestration systems (e.g., Kubernetes) for scalable and efficient application deployment, making it easier for developers to deploy and manage their applications. Developer Tools : Provide and maintain a suite of development and debugging tools to enhance the developer experience, including code analysis, debugging, and testing tools. Monitoring and Alerting : Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of our applications and infrastructure, with a focus on developer-friendly dashboards and alerts. Security : Implement security best practices throughout the development and deployment process, including access control, encryption, and vulnerability scanning, while ensuring minimal disruption to developers. Collaboration : Collaborate closely with development teams to streamline the development and deployment process, enabling faster and more reliable releases and fostering a culture of collaboration. Documentation : Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure, processes, and configurations, making it easily accessible to developers for reference. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or a similar role. Experienced with AWS cloud computing platform and various services (eg, Lambda, DynamoDB, Appsync) Proficiency in scripting, automation, programming (e.g., Python preferred , Go, or Typescript). Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (eg, Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Github Actions, GitLab CI/CD). Knowledge of infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Understanding of networking, security, and best practices in these areas. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
