Job Title: Preconstruction Manager I Work Location: 201 E. Las Olas Blvd, Suite 1200, Fort Lauderdale, Fl 33301 Duties: Participate in construction cost estimates for individual projects up to $250 million Prepare, and present the overall estimate proposal submitted to the client. Generate, Coordinate, and control invitations to bid on Smart bid, upload documents and send out addenda to subcontracts. Lead and participate in subcontractor negotiations and prepare and assemble all subcontractor exhibits. Collaborate with subcontractors, the design team (architects, engineers, consultants) and client conducting OAC meetings. Point of contact for managing assigned trade subcontractors and distributing information. Participate in subcontractor negotiations and prepare and assemble all subcontractor exhibits. Participate in a quantitative and complete analysis of bid documents including BIM models. Develop and manage both commercial and multifamily residential construction cost estimates, and Assist with solicitation and analysis of trade proposals including preparation of bid packages consisting of scope sheets and detailed bid instructions. Requirements: Bachelors degree* in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and 5 years of experience as Estimating Coordinator, Jr. Estimator, or related. Experience must include: Utilizing Autodesk Navisworks for performing 2D takeoffs on 3D models, overriding model quantities, and exporting data to Microsoft Excel software.Utilizing Autodesk Bluebeam Revu for quantity takeoff, reviewing drawings using customizable PDF markup and measurement tools, review and editing contracts.Utilizing Procore for sharing drawings, documents, RFIs with the owner/ Client, operations team, and architect, coordinating with the VDC team, collecting bids, and tracking coverage all in one place.Utilizing Smart bid to perform quantity takeoffs and generate reports to create estimates.*Employer will accept masters degree plus 3 years of experience, including skill set listed above, in lieu of a bachelors degree and 5 years experience.
