Head Baker Duo Café Job details: Location: Richmond Hill, ONSalary: $28.00 hourly for 30 to 44 hours per week1 Vacancy Employment groups: Youth, Persons with disabilities, Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-Time Start date: As soon as possible Employment conditions: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, Early Morning, Morning Qualifications: - Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required; - Completion of secondary (high) school is required; - 3 years to less than 5 years of commercial baking experience or completion of a three- or four-year apprenticeship program for bakers or completion of a college or other program for bakers is required. Job duties: - Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders; - Bake mixed dough and batters; - Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods; - Draw up production schedules; - Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods; - Ensure products meet the quality standards of Duo Café; - Hire, train, schedule, and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff; - Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food; - Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies.
