Our client is a global edible ingredients supplier located in Surrey, are currently seeking a Senior Import and Export Documentation Clerk to join their team. As the Senior Import and Export Documentation Clerk, you will be working within a small team to ensure the smooth running of the operations. You will prepare and manage all Import and Export documentation such as packing lists, bills of lading, certifications of origin, and invoices. Main duties and responsibilities: Work with the shipping and logistics teams to coordinate efficient cargo movement, tracking, and timely delivery. Liaise with freight forwarders, customs authorities and other relevant stakeholders to help resolve any issues regarding shipments and documentation. Ensure all records of all import and export activities are kept up to date. Assist the junior members of the documentation team with day: to: day duties, sharing expertise and best practices. Identify improvements with processes within the Import and Export documentation workflow. The successful Senior Import and Export Documentation Clerk will have 3:4 years of relevant experience in import and export documentation and compliance, ideally, within the food industry, or for a Freight Forwarder or a Manufacturer / Importer.
