Then a Capital One Commercial Ops role may be the role for you! You must be within 50 miles driving distance from our Capital One hub in McLean, VA.Commercial Operations is looking for a candidate to join our Trade Finance Services (Letter of Credit) team. This role involves servicing trade clients transacting with domestic and international parties. Considering the regulatory, financial, and operational risk associated with letters of credit and documentary collections, candidates must evidence the highest levels of ownership, attention to detail, critical thinking, and risk management. Responsibilities : Responsible for negotiating, issuing, and advising Standby and Trade Letters of Credit for domestic and international transactionsResponsible for processing Documentary Collection transactionsNegotiate draft Letters of Credit and provide commentary to internal/external stakeholdersAct as point of contact for clients conducting Import, Export, and Standby related business transactionsExposure to syndicated lending credit facilities. Managing direct and indirect LC exposure.Opine and negotiate credit agreement language with internal/external counsel as it relates to Letters of CreditIdentifying and resolving issues and escalating to direct and senior managementAct as Liaison between Trade Finance Services and technology support teamsPerform post audit review of Trade Finance Service products and services The ideal candidate will : Have a risk management and control focus with a high level of personal accountability and ownership of their roleExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with Internal/External clientsHighly motivated professional, possessing strong analytical thinking, problem solving skills, and attention to detailAn interest and/or fungible skills in machine learning, robotic process automation, and application improvementDemonstrate aptitude to question current procedures with a focus on continuous process improvementAbility to respectfully challenge, make decisions and handle multiple projects or deadlines in a fast-paced environmentInternational banking experience Work from Home Technology Requirements: A secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractionsA reliable private internet connection that is not supplied via cellular data or hotspotA private network that is password protected where you have ownership or line of sight to every device on the networkInternet service must be provided by Cable or fiber Internet Service Provides (ISP)Hotspots and satellite services are prohibited and do not meet performance criteria required for optimal agent/customer interactionsISP download speeds on VPN must be at least 5Mbps, with 10+ Mbps preferredTo validate ISP speeds from a Chrome browser, go to www.google.com , type Speed Test and run from the Google landing pageBoth Hardwire and WiFi internet connections are acceptable as long as speed and security requirements are metCapital One reserves the right to request proof of internet provider, speed and service package from the associate. Internet Service Provider specs can change by provider and location within the US. Work from Home Living Requirements: Candidates must live within approximately 50 miles of one of the hub locations based in 22102 and be comfortable coming in person whenever required with no less than 24 hours notice.
