Summary Founded in 1969, the Winston Prouty Center provides inclusive education and support to promote the success of children and families. Our 5-STAR Early Learning Center (ELC) is licensed to serve 58 children ages 6 weeks ? 5 years. The ELC is an inclusive program influenced by the work of Reggio Emilia, Magda Gerber/Emmi Pickler/RIE, Early MTSS, CSEFEL Pyramid Model, Brazelton Touchpoints, and other leading models in the field. In all that we do, we aspire to offer joyful, reflective, respectful, responsive, relationship-based early care and education. We are expanding our early learning program this year! The center will be adding an Older Toddler/Young Preschool classroom which will serve children 2.5-3.5 years old. Every classroom in the ELC is made up of a three-person teaching team comprised of: 1 full-time Lead Teacher 1 full-time Assistant Teacher 1 part-time Afternoon Teacher Schedule is Monday-Friday, 12:00-5:00pm Duties DUTIES: In conjunction with the teaching team, plan and implement a Reggio-inspired emergent curriculum that promotes children?s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development and learning Provide children with developmentally appropriate guidance that promotes children?s self-regulation, self-esteem and positive, respectful relationships with others In conjunction with the teaching team, create and maintain an environment that supports children?s learning and safe, independent exploration Develop positive relationships with families and encouraging parent involvement Learn alongside the children, developing his or her own knowledge Requirements A high school diploma 3 college credits in child development or Fundamentals in Early Childhood Education preferred.
