The ideal candidate will have experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications, responding to office actions, assisting in the preparation of opinions, and conducting prior art searches in fields such as immunotherapy, gene therapy, cell therapy, and related areas. Strong academic credentials and admission to practice before the USPTO are required. Duties:Draft and prosecute patent applications related to immunology and virologyRespond to office actions and interact with patent examinersAssist in preparing legal opinions on patentability, validity, and infringementConduct prior art searches and analyze patent landscapesCollaborate with inventors and attorneys to develop patent strategiesParticipate in patent appeals, interferences, and reexaminationsStay informed about developments in immunology, virology, and patent lawProvide technical and legal support to clients on patent matters Requirements:Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology3+ years of experience prosecuting patents in immunology and molecular biology therapeutic spaceAdmission to practice before the USPTO Education:Ph.D. in Immunology or Virology Certifications:Admission to practice before the USPTO Skills:Strong technical expertise in immunology and virologyProficiency in drafting and prosecuting patent applicationsAbility to analyze complex scientific and legal issuesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in legal workAbility to work independently and collaborativelyThorough knowledge of patent laws and regulations A regional powerhouse firm with strong political history, this firm is regarded as the 15th Best Law Firm in the Mid-Atlantic.
