At Community and Family Resources, we have the opportunity to serve clients who may be in a difficult place and help them work towards a resolution. If you are driven by the mission of serving others and strive to ensure everyone can get the help they need, this may be the place for you!We are currently seeking a Mental Health Therapist in our Des Moines location. This position is in an outpatient clinical setting. Our team strives to meet the clients where they are at and provide the services they need; whether that means mental health, substances use, or co-occurring disorders. We serve adults and adolescents and offer a therapist an opportunity to work with populations they have interest and expertise in. Key Duties and Responsibilities Conducts clinical assessments and provides diagnosis, treatment and referrals when indicated Provides psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and groups as appropriate Actively participates in therapy unit planning and functioning Accurately and punctually completes needed clinical documentation Provides education and consultative services to the community as requested Master’s degree in social or behavioral sciences or related field is required. Active Iowa License as a Mental Health Counselor (tLMHC or LMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (tLMFT or LMFT) or Social Worker (LMSW or LISW) is required. Certification as a substance abuse counselor (CADC or IADC) is preferred. Education/Experience Master’s degree in social or behavioral sciences or related field is required. Active Iowa License as a Mental Health Counselor (tLMHC or LMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (tLMFT or LMFT) or Social Worker (LMSW or LISW) is required. Certification as a substance abuse counselor (CADC or IADC) is preferred. Schedule Type: Full-Time Hours: Flexible within business hours (Monday-Thursday, 8a-8p and Friday, 8a-5p). Prefer one evening per week to provide adequate availability for client scheduling.
