Once Upon a Time Child Care Center in Verona, WI. is seeking individuals with a passion for or an interest in working with children. We have a clean, safe and fun workplace. We have systems in place that make your work easier. We are looking for people to join our team--Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers and Support Staff positions are available--full-time and/or part-time. We will train you and provide you with a lifetime career opportunity.We are also looking for help in the early mornings or late afternoons. Are you in school or maybe have a few hours in the morning or early evening and would like to earn some extra money,? Our part-time support staff positions are for you! We need staff to help us greet parents at drop-off in the morning and at pick-up in the evening. Usually from 7:00 - 9:00 am and 3:00 - 5:30 pm, but hours can vary. We will work with you!Full-time shifts are 9 hours with a one-hour break, five days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!You may contact us by email or phone:Phone: (608) 845-XXXX Duties Provide play in a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play. Attend to children's basic needs by feeding them, dressing them, changing their diapers, and spending time engaging at their level and on the floor. Teach basic skills, such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social skills. Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order. Read books to entire classes or to small groups. Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips. Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities. Serve meals and snacks in accordance with nutritional guidelines. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests. Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to children. Demonstrate activities to children. Arrange indoor and outdoor space to facilitate creative play, motor-skill activities, and safety. Organize and label materials and display students' work in a manner appropriate for their ages and perceptual skills. Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence. Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guests, or other experiential activities and guide students in learning from those activities. Display student work. Attend training sessions or professional meetings to develop or maintain professional knowledge. Collaborate with other teaching professionals to develop educational programs. Plan experiential learning activities. Maintain inventories of materials, equipment, or products. Supervise school or student activities.
