We operate in Canada as Engineered Lifting Systems and Equipment (ELS)/DBA Gorbel® Canada, and subsequent communication related to Canadian positions may show the ELS name. Work Shift:First Shift (United States of America)Job Description:The Inspector/Receiver is responsible for the physical receipt of product, general inspection, processing ERP transactions, putting away material.RESPONSIBILITIES: * Verifying accuracy of incoming components and raw materials to order documents * Responsible for dimensional inspection of incoming components * Match all packing slips with purchase orders and notify impacted departments of any discrepancies * Complete receiving transactions in the ERP System the day components are received * Place all components and raw material in assigned locations * Complete Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) * Use overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and fork lifts to unload trucks * All other duties as assigned by managementREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or minimum two years experience in shipping and receiving preferred * Must be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire * Basic mechanical skills * Intermediate math skills * Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs * Ability to use inspection equipment ex: calipers, tape measures, micrometer, digital protractor, dial indicator) * Ability to participate in minor data entry * Ability to read tape measure * Ability to read a blue print * Ability to use hand tools requiring dexterity * Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs * Must be able to communicate effectively with factory supervisionWORK ENVIRONMENT:ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements * Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. * Able to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel or crouch (5%), as required. * Able to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout shift. * Able to wear hearing protectors (ear plugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.Gorbel® is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability or handicap, gender, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, arrest record, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.
