Make your mark for patients We are looking for a Research Associate or Research Scientist who is enthusiastic and innovative to join us in our Antibody and Novel Therapeutics group, based in our research site in Slough, UK. About the role Working in the Antibody and Novel Therapeutics group within UK Research you will be part of an innovative multi: disciplinary team. The candidate will support and expand our capabilities in antisense oligonucleotides (ASO), si RNA and m RNA technologies, primarily as tools to validate new drug targets. As a Research Scientist, you will enhance our ability to rapidly backss and progress drug targets and modalities into UCB's drug portfolio. Through exposure to a wide range of projects and techniques, you will learn about the drug discovery process, and enhance your drug: hunting mindset with direct application for the benefit of patients. The successful candidate will be given opportunities for training, continual learning and development and will be encouraged to contribute to implementing new technologies and processes. Who you'll work with You will be fully supported by other experienced scientists to ensure successful integration into our UK Research community. You will collaborate with different teams throughout the organisation and on various research projects to support drug discovery. What you'll do : Performing cell and molecular biology experiments. Carry out data analysis and troubleshooting with support from a supervisor.Present experimental data at team and departmental meetings.Contribute to exploring new technologies for target validation and therapeutics.Collaborate internally and externally to support the initiation and/or advancement of drug candidate projects in pre: clinical studies.Communicate clearly with peers on your ideas.
