ROLE: Senior Contracts & Procurement Lawyer LOCATION: London / hybrid working CONTRACT: 3 months ongoing, 36 hours per week RATE: £45.00 to £55. Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a London Borough Council who are seeking a Senior Contracts Solicitor to join their team on a rolling basis. ROLE: Senior Contracts & Procurement Lawyer LOCATION: London / hybrid working CONTRACT: 3 months ongoing, 36 hours per week RATE: £45.00 to £55.00 per hour umbrella Please note that this position is hybrid working. The Role To lead and manage a team of Contracts & Procurement legal professionals progressing complex caseloads Matters will include grant funding agreements; commercial contracts and projects, IT contracts, waste contracts, construction contracts; building contracts; collateral warranties, company and charities and public subsidy To be involved and lead in the negotiation and drafting of a wide range of legal agreements that are relevant to the Council’s work To work in adherence to Public Contracts Regulations 2015, the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016, the Utility Contracts Regulations 2016 and other relevant legislations The Person A qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with a minimum of 2 years’ PQEExtensive and strong technical knowledge within the field of Contracts & Procurement Law Experience of managing a team of lawyer would be essential for this position Previous local authority / public sector working experience would also be essential If this sounds like an opportunity of interest, please feel free to reach out to Lloyd Stanley on 01772 xyzxyz , or email also welcome referrals for this position, where a successful recommendation would be worth £250.
