Hosted Records is a government contractor located in the Washington DC area. We have recently won a contract with the Defense Logistics Agency to provide records scanning. We are seeking a specialist who can support the project below. The pay rate is $15 an hour on a 1099 basis. You must be able to pass a public trust background check. No felonies. If you are interested please forward an updated resume and provide your hourly rate to XXXX@hostedrecords.com Task 1: Document Preparation. Prepare the documents for scanning to include: removal of staples, paper clips, and binding. Sort and organize the documents prior to scanning according to the customer requirements. Task 2: Scanning and Conversion. Scan various size pages and upload to the DLA Document Services website called eDOCS. The documents will be scanned at a resolution of 300 DPI. Perform optical character recognition (OCR) and convert the scanned images to PDF at an accuracy rate of 98%. Index the documents at a minimum of three fields and within each document that require indexing. Perform quality assurance to ensure accuracy of image quality and indexing. Task 3: Overtime. The contractor may be asked to provide after-hours support for mission-essential requirements. It is estimated that up to 2% of additional effort outside normal working hours may be required. This is an estimate only and should not be considered a contractual obligation to provide any amount of overtime. For Tasks 1 and 2: Work is normally performed in an office setting. Physical demands may include some lifting of boxes and packages weighing up to fifty pounds.
