Job Details Job details : Accounting Technician : HC614667 Location : Strategic Headquarters Eastleigh : Hybrid Salary : Scale 4/5 : GBP 24921.00 : GBP 29874.00 Hours : 37 per week Contract : Permanent Closing date : Sunday 18th February 2024 at 23.59 hours Job Purpose Your role will be to work as part of a professional team in the delivery of financial services to departments of the Constabulary and OPCC, their partners and other external organisations (including managers within customer departments where appropriate) in order to support accounting processes. Study support for AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) is available for this role. The support may include an Apprenticeship, day release at college or distance learning. Further details available on request and the exact package will be agreed with the successful candidate. Responsibilities will be and not limited to: 1. With appropriate supervision, ensure that work is carried out in relation to financial and accounting processes (e. g. budget preparation, monitoring and final accounts) in line with the relevant timetables, and ensuring that working papers are kept in line to agreed standards. 2. To communicate promptly and appropriately with all customers and partners, as directed by a supervisor, to ensure they understand accounting requirements. 3. To contribute to the operation of the team and section by attending and participating in team meetings, following and helping to develop the use of quality budget processes and demonstrating a commitment to customer care. 4. Maintain an awareness of corporate and departmental equalities and health and safety policies and procedures and apply them in the day to day requirements of the job. 5. Assisting in producing financial analysis and reports within defined timetables in order that the Constabulary and OPCC can complete their financial and accounting processes. 6.
