HOURS: Rotating shifts (11pm - 7am, 7am - 3pm and 3pm-11pm) and meet minimal shift requirements (4 shifts/month) Who We Are The work of Good Shepherd is based on a fundamental belief in providing hope and restoring dignity to the most vulnerable members of our community. Our services include emergency food transitional housing and education for homeless and street-involved youth; hospice palliative care; community mental health programs; and supportive housing programs. We are committed to integrating Harm Reduction practices into our programs and to prioritizing the rights, dignity, and choices of those who use substances. By integrating a Harm Reduction framework at Good Shepherd, we can decrease barriers to service and better support some of our community's most marginalized members. This opportunity is with our Good Shepherd - YOUTH SERVICES - Notre Dame Shelter How You Will Make an Impact In this role, you will work to make a difference in the lives of Clients living at Youth Services. Services to clients include backssment, planning, crisis prevention and intervention, supportive counselling, education, advocacy, social/recreational programming, life skills teaching ie: cooking and linkages with other community services. What You'll Bring to Our Team Primary case management and community development skills acquired through a post-secondary education in social services such as Child and Youth Worker, with a demonstrated commitment to the mission values of availability, responsibility, adaptability, quality and dignity. Must have some experience working with Youth. Knowledge of and experience working in residential treatment for Children under the Ministry Guidelines are a plus. CPR certification or willingness to be certified. Ability to speak French and/or other languages considered an asset.
