WHAT YOU'LL DO Reporting to the Associate Director, Content & Creative Services, Arena's Junior Multimedia Designer is a versatile graphics specialist who helps create and leverage the organization's visual assets. In addition to graphic design skills, this position has experience in video and multimedia design and is adept at using current technology and software to edit and produce such assets, working collaboratively with departmental colleagues to do so. The successful candidate will be digitally nimble, resourceful, and creative, adept at developing and implementing creative campaigns that support Arena's strategic goals. The Junior Multimedia Designer will also be an excellent project manager, have a strong eye for detail, and be highly collaborative. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Design graphics and multimedia assets including: logo/brand identity, posters, event graphics, online ad graphics, web site design, and much more Plan video concepts, storyboard, and write scripts Shoot and edit high-quality video to be used on various platforms Create engaging and creative social media video and photo content Participate in the editing, designing, and production of a range of visual materials Help to prepare comps, mock-ups, and presentations Conduct image and photo research Edit photos for press use Participate in team discussions about campaigns and strategies Follow brand and logo guidelines Other duties as assigned by supervisor MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Working experience as a graphic designer (preferred) A degree or certification in graphic design or related field or equivalent combination of training/education and professional work experience. Experience with design software and graphics editing software from the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat DC, Premiere) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge of design techniques, such as Prototyping Ability to work well within a team Time management skills A talent for creativity and problem-solving Ability to take direction and constructive feedback DESIRED SKILLS: Comfortable with collaborative platforms such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Basecamp, Asana, Monday, etc... Versatile writer and editor, with an eye for detail Excellent written and verbal, and strong interpersonal, communication skills Excellent budget, project, and time management skills ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Ability to travel as/when necessary for photo/video shoots Willingness to be available after typical business hours should emergencies crop up Ability and willingness to work a flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends if required to meet business needs We pride ourselves on being a workplace that puts the health and safety of our staff and guest artists first.
