Description:
DUTIES: Works under the general supervision of the Aquatics Manager/Recreation Specialist. This position is responsible for the coaching of youth participating in the swim team program and overseeing the entire swim team. This position supervises all the Assistant Swim Coach. This position is responsible for the safety of members of the team. The Swim Coach enforces policies and procedures and rules pertaining to water safety. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience: One to three years related experience and/or training. Proficient in aquatics, swimming programming and have knowledge of pool facilities. Certifications: Current Lifeguard Training (LGT), First Aid & Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Highly Recommended Certifications: Water Safety Instructor, Certified Pool and Spa Operator (CPO) and /or Aquatics Facilities Operator (AFO).SCHEDULE: 30 to 40 hours per week during the summer season.
