Position Overview You’re a passionate safety leader who looks out for your peers through thoughtful guidance and collaboration and manages diligent protocols to drive continuous improvement in occupational safety. You’re a skilled communicator who can connect with your stakeholders to understand their needs and leverage their organizational and strategic prowess to develop stronger programs. We need you and your skillset to jump into our role of Program Manager, Contractor Safety. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the safety of contractors performing work on behalf of Fortis BC and ensuring Fortis BC’s Contractor Safety Management Program meets internal business and regulatory compliance requirements. In this role, you will: Start building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers, and contractors. Develop an understanding of our Contractor Safety Management program documentation, policies, and internal administrative processes and reporting expectations. Build relationships with the Contractor Safety Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Business Partners and get out into the field to see the work being performed.
