Location Timmins, ON Purpose Contribute to the development and maintenance of a work environment where ground control related hazards are proactively identified and mitigated through geotechnical data collection, analysis, design and monitoring. SAFETY AND SUSTAINABILITY EXPECTATIONS Promote and adhere to Company safety, environmental and sustainability policies. Be proactive with respect to safety and help design and operate a site that is the safest possible, through input and thoughts shared with others. Encourage a culture of reporting hazards, near misses and incidents. Promote and lead by example in the various geotechnical hazard communication tools including the ground control logbook and live geotechnical hazard map. Encourage a positive and all-inclusive work environment. Essential Duties G eotechnical Design and Quality Control Collect basic geotechnical data such as mapping, core logging to support geotechnical designs. Be familiar with the site Ground Control Management Plan and ensure that operations are adhering to the guidance and requirements outlined in it. Perform inspections of active open pit and surface waste and geotechnical facilities to ensure adherence to geotechnical design and Ground Control Management Plan as well as confirm that the ground control is appropriate for the ground conditions.
