Payroll Administrator Job Summary: The Payroll Clerk assists in the process of making sure the company pays employees accurately and on-time. This individual will comply with provincial and federal legislation, employee handbook guidelines, health and safety polices and ISO quality program and procedures. Education and Experience Community college diploma in accounting or administration 3-5 years of work experience in an accounting role Experience with job cost payroll and direct deposit an asset Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficient in computers with the ability to use various computer applications such as Microsoft Office, KEBRITE, etc. High attention to detail and accuracy Capable of forecasting and solving problems Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to adapt and welcome change in a positive manner. Job Requirements and Responsibilities Review time sheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies; collect and analyze payroll vs. job costing hours thru the payroll software job tracking component to resolve discrepancies to ERP database. Daily review of approval of payroll data for time and pay codes, shifts, vacation, PPH, bereavement; communication with business unit managers to resolve such discrepancies. Daily recording of unattended hours into ERP system Maintain employee data in CANPAY (new hires, terminations, transfers) Compute wages and deductions and enter data into computer to upload net pay into direct deposit interface.
