Receive half after 1 month and the remainder following 3 months of employment! Relocation assistance also available for out of town candidates. Reporting to the Shop Foreman, you will work in a fast-paced environment maintaining a fleet of school buses. SOUTHLAND offers a state-of-the-art environment with an emphasis on safety and training. To qualify for this position, you must be a reliable self-starter with strong interpersonal skills. Position Requirements: Journeyperson certification Valid driver's license; Class 2 is an asset Pre-employment drug testing Clear criminal record Analytical and troubleshooting skills Own hand tools Fluent in written and spoken English Gasoline and propane-powered equipment experience an asset Computer skills As a Truck and Transport Mechanic, your duties are as follows: Ongoing maintenance/repair of school buses Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems Respond to breakdowns Spring and winter maintenance Complete all documentation associated with equipment repairs.
