Job Description for Landfill Operator Position: Landfill Operator Shift Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts Key Responsibilities: Competent Handling and Disposal of Waste: Responsible for the efficient and safe handling and disposal of various types of waste. Ensures compliance with environmental regulations and company policies. Maintenance and Implementation of Safe Work Procedures: Regularly backsses and maintains operational safety standards. Implements and adheres to safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment. Customer Interaction and Service: Engages professionally with customers, addressing their concerns and queries. Provides high-quality service to enhance customer experience. Collaboration with Truck Drivers and Other Departments: Works closely with truck drivers for efficient waste offloading and disposal. Collaborates with other departments to ensure smooth operational flow and adherence to safety and environmental policies. Adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies: Comprehensively understands and complies with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Actively participates in related training and awareness programs. Qualifications and Skills: Familiarity with landfill operations and waste management procedures. Strong commitment to safety and environmental standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team and coordinate with various departments. Physical fitness and ability to work in different weather conditions. Class 5 driver's license would be an asset.
