Requisition ID: 162524 Opportunity Type: Permanent Estimated Annual Salary: 365,000 Type of Remuneration: LFM - Longitudinal Family Medicine Site Visit & Reallocation Allowance Programs: Relocation Program; Site Visit Program For information and to determine eligibility for Department of Health and Wellness Incentives, please contact About This Opportunity Tacoma Family Medicine and Walk-In Clinic located in Dartmouth, is seeking a family physician to join their practice of two full-time family physicians and three physicians in the walk-in clinic offering family practice services, walk-in, ENT, physiologist, and well women clinics. Tacoma Family Medicine is a fully furnished, professionally managed clinic that uses an EMR system (Accuro). Depending on your professional interests, physicians may shape their practice to include: inpatient care, nursing home care, hospitalist work, ER coverage, surgical assists to name a few services available to participate. Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners Act as a patient’s advocate Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements Expected Hours Full-time 1.0 FTE Qualifications Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) Community Details Dartmouth is a great place for getting outside and appreciating its natural beauty on land and water.
