Senior Budget Specialist JHNA is seeking a talented Senior Budget Specialist to join our growing Fort Eustis team in Newport News, VA. This work has a projected start timeline of early 2023. JHNA is a Digital Engineering firm focused on providing engineering and technical services primarily to DoD's Aviation communities. JHNA is a critical partner to these communities providing MBSE, MOSA, and platform security (cyber and anti-tamper) support. Roles/Responsibilities: Responsible for providing a variety of budgetary functions in support of engineering projects as well as Directorate-level budget activities. These activities include understanding all budget software and tracking systems at use in ADD, AMRDEC, and RDECOM/AMCOM, analyzing and reporting on budget execution and financial status of the Directorate and sub-level sections of ADD. Working with the budget team to develop cost-benefit analysis , review financial requests, coordination with contracting division, allocation and status of financial resources supporting engineering projects, and assist in budget planning. Qualifications Required : Top Secret Security Clearance is required Bachelors Degree in Finance or Business Administration Minimum of 8 years of Budgetary experience including commitments, obligations, fund certification, maintaining multiple level audit trails, developing direct funding citations, preparation of data for integrated financial management systems, preparing and monitoring funding requests, and researching budgetary problems and taking corrective action as appropriate; and filing financial documents.
