Provides the overall financial and accounting leadership for HIG, Sunesta, and Gutter Helmet. Also provides oversight and activities of all 3 organizations and supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in calculating, posting, and verifying duties that obtain and record financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records by performing the following duties. Compiles composite reports from individual reports of department employees. Provides timely and comprehensive reports including month end, quarter end and annual end and continuous and periodic analysis of balance sheet reconciliations, expenditures, financial performance, budgets, inventories, capital expense, manufacturing performance and forecasts of present and future performance of the organization. Specifically works closely with Director of Sales and Marketing for all locations to develop short and long term forecasts including resulting full bottle line P&L projections. Establishes and maintains a system of internal controls to ensure the accuracy and completeness of both internal and external financial reports. Responsible for the overall Sarbanes-Oxley compliance process for location. Provides specific support to preparation and auditing of SOX controls both internal accounting and within the entire organization. Develops and implements goals, policies, and procedures related to the General Ledger, Accounts payable and receivable, Credit and Collections, Property Plant and Equipment, Sales and Property Tax. Directs the maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and all related accounts with proper documentation and records of all company transactions; reviews entries to the general ledger and support location ledgers to assure accuracy and compliance with the organizations policies, accounting principles and regulatory requirements. Oversees the monthly financial review process coordinating and assisting organizational leaders understand metrics, dashboard indicators, directional flow and potential cause and effect of results attained. Leads and provides extensive input, coordination and consolidation to preparation of the annual budget. Provides oversight to MIS activities through its department manager and employees to assure related activities assist the organization and sister companies achieve high quality IT and infrastructure support. Along with others within the organization provides leadership and oversight of physical count of inventory as required. Participates in the overall process improvement efforts of the organization to reduce and eliminate waste throughout process streams. Provides direction to the leased vehicle program. In addition to the accountabilities listed above, individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload. Technical Skills : To perform this job successfully, an individual will be exceptionally proficient in standard office products including email, word, internet, excel, PowerPoint and ERP/MRP systems (we use Syteline) and crystal reports; Requires a highly evolved level of ability to fully calculate and understand the organization's financial and accounting ledgers, figures, forecasts and opportunities; must have inherent ability to recognize inconsistencies and incongruent information leading to investigation of factors that created such factors. Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of 4 years in an accounting role, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role, or a combination of education and experience. Experience working in the manufacturing industry preferred. Organizational Competencies : Strong people and collaboration skill. Proven change mgmt. & process improvement.
