Customer Service Water Efficiency Intern East Cherry Creek Valley Water and Sanitation District provides water and sanitary sewer services to over 60,000 customers in the eastern portions of the City of Centennial and unincorporated Arapahoe County. We are accepting applications/resumes for a temporary Water Efficiency Intern to perform a variety of tasks for our Customer Service Department. Pay: $18/hour DOE - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance (Employee only) for those working 24+ hours weekly Anticipated time frame: Through October 2022 (Preferred) Hours: 40 hours per week (hybrid remote option after training is completed) Work Schedule: M-F, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with some flexibility on schedule JOB SUMMARY Responding to customer calls/emails regarding irrigation system issues and/or water violations during business hours. Provides daytime water patrol within District to ensure ECCV watering schedule is followed. Utilizing Beacon Platform to monitor watering schedule/water waste violations. Documenting watering schedule/water waste violations, generating water violation letters. Preparing emails, warning letters, and other correspondence for high use/leak contacts. JOB QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma Valid Driver's License, must be at least 18 years old in order to drive district vehicle. Course work in water conservation, environmental science or related is preferred, but not required. WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES This position consists solely of office work and requires occasional operation of a district vehicle to various work sites. Office work requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines. This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time with hand/eye coordination: for repetitive motion and data entry. Position includes the occasional lifting and/or moving of items up to 20 pounds and regular lifting of 5 pounds of office items. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
