Job Summary Ensure all items being inspected are meeting the quality and quantitative standards required for each contract or project. Assist in the set up of the work area to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met. Responsibilities Performs thorough inspection on all Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE) items after being laundered and completes minor repairs to meet acceptable standards. Prepares laundry loads by separating the items and staging for the wash cycle. Spot treat items before laundering. Sorts laundered items by LOT number for the conditioning process utilizing the conveyor system or hanging racks. Ensures laundered items are completely dry before performing the inspection and packaging process. Verifying material by the identification number and records all defects, damages, or missing hardware of the OCIE items. Package all OCIE items into triwalls or boxes by the appropriate quantities and standards in preparation to be shipped. Record all data into the laundry database and appropriate forms. Maintains adequate stock of supplies in the work area. Complies with and assists other employees understand and comply with TAB's Safety and Security policies and guidelines. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Critical Thinking Basic mathematics Time Management Good communication skills Able to read, comprehend and understand information and ideas presented in writing or in alternative form Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently Demonstrates sound work ethics Possesses cultural awareness and sensitivity Supervisory Responsibility None Communication & Contacts Required Employees, departments, & managers Decision Making/Judgment Required Makes decisions as per Standard Operation Procedures and Company Policies Minimum Education and Experience Highschool diploma or equivalent Physical Requirements With or without reasonable accommodation, employees in this position must be able to: Ability to be in a stationary position (stand/sit) for 4-8 hours Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs. at times Ability to bend, stoop, squat, adjust position for 50% of time Ability to work in conditions with varying temperature, including cold and/or heat Have strong dexterity capabilities to grasp, assemble, and manipulate objects. The ability to navigate safely in small or large areas/environment.
