Job Title: HR Manager Position Location: Raleigh, NC. Hybrid role. 90% remote. Must live within 90 minutes of Raleigh as this role may require short notice of coming into the office. Your impact: As Coastal's HR Manager, you'll have the opportunity to use your management talent to oversee and direct the work of HR compensation and benefits and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You'll also have the opportunity to use your rapport building talent and communication skills to cultivate relationships with employees, vendors, and to build a highly engaged team. The contributions you can anticipate making: Leading team results in the benefits area by: Building a benefits program that supports our vision of being a "best places to work" Leading benefits and outsourced providers to ensure the daily administration of our benefits plans is timely, cost-effective, and accurate Leading our efforts to ensure our employees' awareness, understanding, and engagement in our benefits plans Evaluating options and making recommendations accordingly Compiling, evaluating, and presenting data as needed Leading team results in the compensation area by: Being instrumental in building a compensation program that aligns with the Executive Leadership Team's vision and strategic goals Leading job description, job evaluation, and compensation systems and processes Preparing salary related policies and procedures to ensure equitable administration Ensuring compensation program enhances our ability to recruit and retain talent Managing yearly compensation cycles; e.g. annual increases, gain share, promotions, etc. Providing consulting and recommendations for pay decisions Compiling, analyzing, and presenting data as needed Assisting with the analysis of compensation programs Overseeing daily operations of benefits and compensation by: Ensuring fairness and consistency in our HR practices while remaining compliant within all HR regulations Collaborating with HR Director to assist with process improvement and optimization Collaborating with the Talent Acquisition team to meet their compensation and benefits needs in their mission to attract and retain top talent Staying on top of advances in the benefits and compensation areas and making recommendations accordingly Building strong third-party vendor relationships to optimize our service and contract terms, evaluate their services, and make recommendations accordingly Accomplishing annual planned projects Developing team by : Identifying each of your team member's talents and helping them do more of their best work Holding meaningful weekly check-ins with each team member to build relationships, trust, and provide the opportunity for coaching, feedback, and recognition Conducting performance pulses and milestone connect meetings regularly Building a culture that embodies Coastal's values Cross-training to ensure optimal coverage Ensuring your staff has the knowledge and tools needed to perform well Successfully recruiting additional staff as needed Protecting Coastal by: Ensuring legal compliance with all HR laws and regulations Ensuring staff can provide adequate service at all times Providing support for internal/external fraud investigators Resolving audit and exam findings Ensuring the Business Continuity Plan preparedness of your team To be successful in this role, you will be: An achiever who thrives on the opportunity to lead a team successfully toward goals A person who derives satisfaction from influencing and motivating others, building rapport, and creating an atmosphere where collaboration as well as individual strengths can thrive Someone who enjoys being the decision maker in demanding situations A person who enjoys relaying information in a way others outside the field can understand whether it be verbally, in writing, or through a presentation Someone who enjoys listening to the findings others present and then using their expertise to make recommendations accordingly A person who enjoys learning and staying on top of advances in their field Interested?
