What we're looking for: A Career Services Advisor for our Sacramento campus. Does the idea of helping students achieve professional success through career development excite you? You could be the Career Services Advisor we've been looking for. As a Career Services Advisor you will assist graduates in securing education-related employment through developing their employment search skills. Daily responsibilities of a Career Services Advisor include making outbound calls and emails to employers to tell them about our graduates, community outreach, scheduling interviews, and ensuring placement of graduates. This position is supported and supervised by the Regional Career Services Director, campus, and regional teams. What We Offer: T he targeted starting pay range for this position is between $25.00-27.00 per hou r. Our benefits program for full-time colleagues includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as flexible spending and health savings accounts. You will accrue two to three weeks of paid vacation in your first five years with eleven paid holidays. We offer state-compliant sick leave, disability insurance, and company-paid life insurance. We offer a 401k profit-sharing plan with a discretionary match and tuition assistance to employees and their family members beginning your first day of employment. Some of the great work you'll do includes: Helping students achieve professional success through education. We make learning and instruction exciting and engaging! Do you qualify? Education and/or Experience - Associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Preferred three years of job development, career services, agency recruiting experience. Required degree(s) must be from institutions accredited by recognized U.S. accrediting agencies. Degrees from non-U.S. institutions are recognized only if equivalence has been established and provided. Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to students, employees, and clients. Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook, and master proprietary software used to maintain student records.
