The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Health & Social Care Lead Teacher or Subject Leader to join their team. This role is instrumental in providing curriculum leadership and ensuring outstanding outcomes in the Health & Social Care subject area. Responsibilities: Lead the teaching of Health & Social Care to uphold high standards and student achievement. Ensure exceptional and well-structured curriculum provision, fostering a deep understanding and passion for the subject. Contribute significantly to whole-school priorities, including literacy and numeracy policies. Develop outstanding teaching, learning, attainment, and progress within the subject area. Implement excellent marking practices with a focus on impact. Stay updated with developments in Health & Social Care and incorporate changes into course content promptly. Ensure high-quality and robust backssment practices within Health & Social Care. Utilise data effectively to set targets and address underachievement swiftly. Lead standards verification in line with Health & Social Care BTEC programme. Facilitate enrichment activities for students, such as extension classes and trips. Maintain high standards of behavior in the subject area and foster a positive ethos. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status QTS and relevant specialist qualifications. Proven excellence as a classroom practitioner at secondary level. Demonstrated leadership experience and a successful track record. Experience in your subject area, enabling.
